I feel like I was missing something as I read this book. Like I walked into the middle of a story instead of at the beginning. There was a whole backstory that was alluded to. Lots of emotion and regret between Allister and Ellie was referenced, but that was all in the backstory. When they meet again 2 yrs later after Ellie is attacked, everyone basically pick up where they left off. And that's that. If was totally anticlimactic considering all the buildup of Ellie's abuse & escape, her interrogation, etc. No confrontation, no deep explanations, no real anger. It was weird to me. There was a lot of dialogue--mostly banter between all the men. Take out the banter and there wasn't much story there. Speaking of banter, a little of Markie went a LONG way. I could have used less if his (not very) witty observations and more actual story. Finally, I'm not sure WHY Bradley, Ryan & Derek were even included as they played no role in the story except to have sex with Ellie. I will say, I'm intrigued by Serena and Draegan though. Overall, this story had a great premise, but purpose.

First of all I need to say I love the concept of this book. Natalie Acres has always been one of my favorites but this has shot her to the top! A town that takes in abused women and their children and protects them is near and dear to my heart! Ok...so the amazing story! Ellie has been divorced from her abusive ex and checked out this elusive town many times but never sure when she would end up there. Alister is in shock when he sees his beautiful Ellie looking like a punching bag . Overwhelming feelings of regret flood him and the other three men who invade Ellie's dreams. In this town where she knows she is safe, can Ellie learn to forgive the betrayal she felt and love her men again? Alister, Ryan, Bradley, and Derek will love their girl and take care and protect her like she deserves. No matter what the threat. I cannot wait for the rest of this series! And dont forget the smoking hot sex scenes!

I absolutely love menage books. This one is no exception. I like that its based in a fictional town called Trouble, TN. Kinda made me feel like it was in my backyard. LOL I read a lot books & sometimes it's nice to have a little novella instead of 300 pages jammed pack. The book of course is about a woman who leaves her ex husband & retreats to Trouble. When she gets there is when I fell in love w/the story. All the emotions came back to her & the loves of her life. The book has a sense of humor. I laughed a lot. I don't like giving away spoilers so u are just going to have to read the book. :D One of my favorite lines outta the whole book was this one... " Either you guys are happy to see me or you're carrying around some mighty big guns in your blue jeans tonight."
