Loved the book! It was very exciting waiting to find out what was going to happen to Sable. And once you found out her secret...that was intense, waiting to find out how things were going to work themselves out.
Highly recommended. I would suggest reading part one, Call of the Wilds, first. It's not necessary but it will make the story last that much longer (not to mention that one is just as exciting). Enjoy!

What drew me to want to read this story was the character of "Sable," from Gale Stanley's first book in this series. Without giving to much away from book one, I just had to read what kind of redemption Gale was going to give Sable for her past transgressions.
I have to be honest at first I was very disappointed. The main reason was because this character had a persona in the previous book that was so different from the persona she portrayed in this book. It seemed like there was a night and day difference in a very short time span. Don't get me wrong, I totally agree in people changing who they are and learning life lessions. However in the case of Sable I feel there wasn't any lesson that she learned to make her change her attitude of her opinions on humans. Basically I felt that some things didn't seem "natural."
Neverthelss, I still wanted to finish and I'm glad I did. I learned in depth the reasons for Sables hurt and fear as well as the fact underneath all the anger was really a need to belong and be fullfilled. I learnt that Sable was really misunderstood and used her aggerssion as a shield to hide her soul from being betrayed like her people were.
Still I am not sure how I feel about the fact that Sable went from an aggressive self-assured she-wolf who hated "human" men to mating with not only one but two of them, who also made it very clear that they viewed her as an animal and only wanted to use her for research. Like i said before, some reactions just didn't seem natural.
I did however come to understand the force that connected them all underneath the ignorance that seemed to blanket both Sable and her men.
Gale, did a good job of showing redemption and endurance in a relationship, that honestly seemed doomed from the get go. I apperciated the fact that after the tables were turned and a lot of communication was had, that both Sable and her men tried to learn from their mistakes and in the end overcame it all.
I gave the story a 3 rating, mainly because while the concept of the story very deep and honestly very fresh. I felt that way the characters came about it was very simple.
