I like the very first paragraph of this book... and then it turns out, it was that great all the way thru! Great characters... except, who really wears a garter belt everyday?

I can respectfully understand how the previous review felt the story had weak alphas, but for once it had a strong alpha female. (Even if she didn't know that's what she was...). It's a decent read for a cold afternoon. I would love for more depth but the story length was to short. Don't shy away because of the ratings, but realize do realize the theme is similar to many other shifter novels...(SPOILER) shifter meets girl, shifter tricks girl into coming home with him, shifter seduces girl in a really predictable way...girl gets stolen....shifter saves girl after she saves herself...happily ever after.
