I recently met Ms. Addison at a book signing and was intrigued by her books. This is the first book of hers I have read, and I was not disappointed. From the first chapter I was fascinated by Aurora. Her character is very well developed, right from the start. She is a no nonsense, take charge kind of woman, who has worked her way up to the top of the corporate ladder in the fashion world. She is tough and knows exactly what she wants in the boardroom. She runs her company with strength and compassion, illustrated by helping an older employee when is wife is ill. I love a strong female lead in a book and Ms. Addison balances her strength with her care for others and just a trace of vulnerability. Aurora's relationship with her man, Nicholas, is off the charts. While she is take charge in the boardroom, in the bedroom she needs to have someone else in control. While there may be a financial imbalance in their relationship, in the bedroom they are more than equal. While Nicholas may be a bit of a control freak, he loves Aurora deeply and the level of trust they share is amazing. Nicholas works for the Yankees organization and recruits sponsors for the team. He and Aurora share a love of sports and a wonderful sexual chemistry. While the couple has a complete and active sex life, after coming across a bukkake film one evening, the couple has an argument. Aurora is disgusted by the act and Nicholas is intrigued. However, Aurora ultimately becomes fascinated by the idea, causing her many conflicting feelings. Once she confesses her fantasy to Nicholas they set about making it a reality. The amount of trust that the couple has is only surpassed by the love they share. It takes a tremendous amount of both for the couple to embark on that journey.
