Good shapeshifter story. I was very impressed with some of the descriptions. Her clever use of words painted vivid pictures enabling me to see the small town clearly, as well as her larger than life characters. I look forward to future books by Ms. Jamison.

Overall the story was good. I find it a little strange though how a the heroine says she loves the paranormal and believes in it and even goes as far as to be writing a paranormal romance can then freak out in the book when she finds the heroes are werewolves. That makes no sense to me but maybe that is just my own pet peeve. I can understand being shocked but scared, that I don't get. They had been nothing but supportive and friendly...and you are writing a book just like that yet when you find out they are werewolves you want to run away, yet the heroine in the book you are writing wouldn't do that. That is something in paranormal romance that has always gotten on my nerves. Other then that the book was ok. Could have been more fleshed out. Would probably try this author again.

I picked this because I was interested in the 'third' man concept and how a story of this length (half my books length) would work. Mostly pleasantly surprised. Good characters and the romance/ sex and whole werewolf thing (I'm new to this genre too) done well and pretty believably. Even with three men thet are well differentiated and memorable. The weak point I think was the back story of her illness and the evil ex- seemed very contrived and would have put this down to a 3 if it hadn't been for the quality of the romance/sex and characters of Emma and her three men.
