I kind of had mixed feelings with this story. Part of that most of the "party" stories in this series have been the lighter more about fun stories. Second the drama that is being faced by one of the households was a big trigger that I wasn't expecting seeing as by own event was almost 17 years ago so I had to deal with both my tears for the people in the story and my own set of tears. But it is a Suncoast Society book that while is fiction reflects events that happen in the lives of real people. Because of that these people feel real to me as a reader and I love the fact that we are able to share in their joys and sorrows. Just have some tissues handy when you start this one.

Another great couple become a part of the Suncoast Society. Arlin and Lee were friends years ago in high school where they were both keepers of secrets. As Lee life starts to unravel something makes him reach out to his old friend. Arlin is also in a place in his life where he's ready to start looking for more in his life. As these men reconnect they realize they still have much of the old friendship still there. What is even better these two don't waste time dancing around each other but don't wait to long to come clean on their secrets. There is some angst as they figure out the logical things of life and it takes awhile for things to really settle but it's great to see these old friends find new way to relate.

Wylie and Everett seem to be made for each other. Wylie has been through a lot and is set to prove to people who really don't even matter that he can stand on his own two feet and take care of himself. Everett has also made changes in his life but he seems to have gotten stuck. As each is faced by events they are brought together but also moved forward in their individual lives. These are two men who both need to learn the lesson of give and take and that giving and receiving are both part of a loving relationship.

Like the holiday stories in the bask it is again time for the core group of the Suncoast Society to have their private kinky party fun. But while we get to enjoy some of the grown up party fun this time we their is a twist. We also get a peek at "Aunt" Tilly's kiddy party. It was just a s much fun to experience. This was a great book to read just before Valentine's Day.

Okay first I want to say I love the idea of Eeyore PJ's since I have an Eeyore blanket. I have to say that I love the role that Tilly gets to play in this Suncoast Society installment. Doyle is caught off guard by his own strong feelings but makes sure that he does his best to be above board. We also get to see that being the Dom doesn't mean you can't make really big mistakes. Mal is strong enough to make the decision to stay sober, to go for what he wants, to stand up for himself and others, to stay sober when things go wrong and to be forgiving. I love that both me are allowed to show well rounded characters.

Well for the first time in a while a new relationship is formed without any help from the Venture matchmakers which I think would be fun to hear them discussing sometime in the future. Also, I could relate to Davis as I have a son that would now days be labeled on the spectrum but when he was little because he could function was night. He has had to work work hard over the years as he had academic struggles as well but his a doing well now. Each person in this group has their own strengths and weakness and together they really create a while package. I love how for Davis his new feelings are so bright and surprising to himself. Kirby can sort of let Mel be part of the group and it will change his own life in some ways. As we see through several points in the story Mel is a strong woman who can stand on her own but it's great that now she doesn't have to. I felt bad for Mr. Darby and what he will be having to face and deal with over the next few months. Also, I love the backstory of Kirby and Davis' parents. It adds so much to the story.

Ben and Jake have been friends and coworkers for years. Over the years Jake has had girlfriends. Ben was in a relationship as well. But Ben is hurt badly emotionally and financially. Jake is also ending a relationship. And suddenly with a shove from friends they are together. Jake has to work through some family issues we see that each man brings their own strength to the relationship. A long term friendship makes a wonderful bases for love.

This is a sweet and yet bittersweet holiday story. It doesn't just give us a chance to visit with old friends as they celebrate the Christmas season with the annual play party. But we also have the chance to learn more about Kaden's life and the love he brought to those he loved. This story will bring a tear to your eye but it is worth the tissues. I loved every bit of this story.

This story of course has the kink this series is known for but this story is so much more. It is about Holly who has an inner strength that keeps her going despite tragedy. Walter a caring man who needs a good place to put all that nurture and love. It is also about justice and the timing of my reading of this story couldn't have come at a better time. It was wonderful and rich part of this story. Don't want to say more so I don't give anything away. Finally, it is about family done right. Kimbra's family reminds me so much of my ex's family who I got custody of in the divorce. When I remarried they all came out to support me. Many of them have passed now so it was a wonderful remembrance.

This story is such a wonderful journey for all three men involved. Justin has gone through so much in his life and much he believed was true got all turned around. Glen and Wade are used to playing with a third but never thought about a permanent relationship. But these men seem to connect at the right time in all of their lives and what starts off first as mentoring quickly moves on to more. Still we see everyone guarding their hearts and taking care. It was great to see such strong and caring men find a way to be truly honest with each other and to explore and meet each others needs.

This story starts out so bittersweet. Lynn has been suffering so much pain from loosing Paul. And sadly Paul has been suffering as well. There seems to be no good way for things to work out. Neither one wanted to part but Paul thought he was doing the right thing and be honorable. But suddenly everything has changed and doors can be reopened. Paul really has so much to make up for and so much to get over himself. Lynn loves still and loves large but she is also willing to stand up for herself to both Paul and well meeting friends. She isn't willing to just let things go without making sure it goes better this time. It was rewarding to see even when things seem hopeless sometimes love can stand the long haul and recover some of the worst.

First I want to say as Florida native who didn't see snow until I was 44 and then it was while spending a week in Norway I can totally get the reaction to snow, winter, and getting warm. This story was such a funny way to get together and fall in love. While things seem fast paced Rachel and Andrew have been friends and interacting together for awhile. They have both had reasons for not really acknowledging their feelings so things were already simmering on the back burner before the temperature gets turned way down. It seem like they have to survive so much just to get through their first week together and it kind of reminds me of my first date with my husband where my car got totally after being in a fender bender.

This story has so many levels and layers that make it a great read. From the beginning I was drawn to the characters and it was hard to put the book down to do things like go to work and sleep. It was wonderful to see that Coop is an honorable person and puts first things first. His loyalty to each of the other people make is easier for everyone to trust both him and each other more. There is so much caring. What I thought was the most interesting aspect was the way that not only the way the relationships built between the obvious couples but between all the other individuals as well. Each brought something special and unique. Their creativity will go a long way to making sure that everyone is both protected and well cared for. The end of the story felt like just the beginning for these four special people.

This story is really so sweet. Em's life is crazy and getting crazier as she deals with her mom drama. Jarred and Garrison are in recovery from their own loss. It seems that this would all make it hard to get together and move forward in their lives. Yet these three people are drawn together and each have something to give and contribute to the others. I like they way we see the caring and the humor. There is drama but it is met head on. No matter what their "roles" are we see all three of these people as equal.

Kim and Cole are a great couple who are trying to figure out what they need. Mason starts out with guiding them but soon becomes a part of their lives and their love. We get to see each of them learn about themselves as well as each other. Then we get to see them them fact the worst and the individual strengths as well as the depth of their love becomes clear.

It was fun to have another visit with some old friends. Tilly, Laudry, and Chris have a made a successful life together and they are only getting stronger and stronger. But now after an unexpected phone call they are facing a whole new adventure. The journey is emotional but the end result is lots of love and happiness.

Grant, Darryl, and Susan - After hardship and heartbreak these three are brought together. Each brings an element to the relationship that leaves them all fulfilled. Once again the message is clear that submissive doesn't mean weak or incapable. Also, never underestimate the smarts of a teenager.

This is not a shifer story but a story that affirms the strength of family no matter what the form or make up of that family is. This story takes off where Vulnerable left off. Jesse and Leo are married and settling into a life that includes Leo's ex and daughter. This story focus on Eva and her finding her own way. Leo has given her strength but she has a lot more growing to get through. Nate is a quiet sort of dom who has great strength, compassion, and caring. He has had to face his own tragedy in life. Together they form and strong bond that allows further healing for Eva. They also learn how to meld their lives together with Leo and Jesse to make a stronger pack. Eva still has to struggle with taking on unnessary guilt but even when a crisis occurs with the strength of the pack everyone comes out stronger and more loved than before.

Leo and Jesse seem made for each other but it doesn't make things easy. Just working around their schedules and Leo's family oblications takes effort. There is some hurt and drama. When an accident leaves Leo in bad shape they must again learn to adjust. In the process old secrets are revealed and Jesse learns to open his heart to more than just Leo. The family dynamics were explosive and I look forward to the next series book that will take up where this one leaves off. In a beautiful way these two men have found what they needed in each other in a way that lets them open their arms to include others and expand the definition of what makes a family.

I really love how in someways it feels like Amelia sort of gets drops in the deep end of the pool when she finds out what her friends have really been up too. And while this one also features two guys in Don and Carl their dynamic is completely different than in some of the other stories. They are not a couple and have no sexual interest in each other. But their strong friendship and life experience make them the perfect landing spot for Amelia as she starts her own kinky journey. The fact that they end up a family is a wonderful bonus.

It was so much to go back and see how the whole club came about. To see how some of the characters came together and how stories that we've read early in the series impacted the other club members at the time even if they were a big part of the earlier book. And make sure you bring tissues to your reading spot there will definitely be places where you will need them.

Reed and Lyle are strong in their relationship but feel that they are open to share their life with another. Their plans take a detour with the death of a close friend. I love how both of them and the rest of the Suncoast family rally around Vanessa to show their support and love as she deals with her loss. I was so glad to see their quickly developing relationship that leaves a happy ever after for all of them.

Kenny and Nolan have been thinking about a adding a third to their life. But while at a party they go out on a rescue mission for Betsy who has escaped her crazy and abusive boyfriend. Like has been pointed out more than once in this series abuse and bdsm are not at all the same thing. The men go about being supportive and the three develop feelings. I can understand how Betsy feels that it is important to be able to stand on her own two feet before making a final decision about their relationship. The problem of the ex gets solved in a big way.

This story features Lucas, Leigh, and Nick. Lucas and Leigh have been in a relationship for a while but when Nick comes to time play starts to turn serious but just as they are connecting their world is blown apart but truth unspoken. But from the ashes a new and better path is forged for these three. It will take some creativity and a bit of distance from old friends but they are on the path for building their own special relationship
