Alexia Ward is a writer, mother and wife whose passion for life, love and happiness has led her on many fascinating, thrilling journeys in her lifetime. But nothing has been more fulfilling than becoming a mother and a writer.
She loves romance and everything paranormal and tries to include both genres in her stories. Her favorite place to write is in the den on her comfortable couch. The gorgeous trees in her backyard, along with the sunshine beaming through the nearby window, help feed her energy and creativity. She hopes that her heroes and worlds she creates will bring many hours of enjoyment to her readers, just like they’ve done for her.

Q: If you had to choose ten words to describe yourself, what would they be?
A: Stubborn – Imaginative – Perfectionist – Artistic – Optimistic – Proud Mom – Considerate – Klutzy – Chocolate & Coffee Addict – Creative.
Q: Did you always want to be a writer?
A: Yes and no. At a very young age I wanted to be a writer, but I also wanted to be an archeologist, a doctor, and an architect. Only after many years searching did I finally get the calling that it was what I wanted to be.
Q: What does your average workday entail?
A: I’ve got to have two cups of strong coffee before my brain starts working in the morning, then I do some housework. I start writing around mid-morning until early afternoon. I take a break, then do a little editing. By 5:00 p.m., I’m done for the day being a writer and put on my mom’s hat, spending quality time with the kids and my hubby.
Q: Who or what is your inspiration in life and in writing?
A: In life: I’d have to say my grandmother, parents, my amazing husband and kids.
In writing: My amazing husband and kids. And writers like Lisa Jackson, Mary Higgins Clark, and Anne Rice to name a few.
Q: Do you have any interesting quirks or phobias you’d like to share with readers?
A: I’m fidgety. I always have to be doing something; otherwise I go stir crazy. As for phobias, I have a fear of heights, huge masses of water, and insects.
