Q: Why erotic romance?
A: That's easy. One of the most important factors of a relationship is intimacy. Being the wife of a service member I learned quickly to cherish the "special" time I had with my husband. I never wanted us to become that "vanilla-only couple" so we both strived to keep it fun and interesting. Needless to say, I was quickly drawn to this genre.
Q: Who are some of your favorite writers?
A: Now, that's a lot tougher since there are so many. I love anything by Jenny Penn, Lora Leigh, Cooper McKenzie, Maya Banks, and Leah Brooke.
Q: What's your least favorite part of the writing process?
A: That's an easy one. Edits. I mean wow. A really, sweet writer I've chatted recently with tried to warn me, however no warning could have fully prepared me. Thankfully the editors and staff are wonderful and huge help.
Q: Do you ever get writer's block?
A: Yes, I am a new writer, so I am stumped often. Also I am horrible about self-confidence in my work. I sat on The Baker's Sweets for about 2 years. Thankfully the acceptance has given me the confidence to work on the 6 other manuscripts I have been writing on for the last few years.
Q: What's the hardest part of writing?
A: Definitely trying to get it all down on the computer. Oh gosh, I don't even want to admit how completely computer illiterate I am. Unfortunately it's very embarrassing, and I am hoping that this summer I will be able to take some computer courses.
