Hello, my name is Sarah, and I’m Michael’s wife. I found my husband’s manuscript, ready to be posted, and read it with interest. As you can see, I’ve added my own comments and thoughts as it progressed. I also thought most of you out there would like to hear my side of his romantic, or should I say, egotistical stories.

Oh, he wasn’t happy when he found out I’d read it all before it went to the publishers, and as I submitted it under a pseudonym, the contract had to be signed by me. I know, technically it’s not ethical, but as the stories are about me as well, I thought it fair enough.

The book has become an instant success, so he’s stopped complaining now that the money is rolling in. But it’s the truth behind some of the lies and fabrications I believe, has really made it so successful.

Anyway, read on. My words are in italics, so you can differentiate between the two of us. I hope you enjoy both versions. I do have to agree with him, be careful what you think you desire, because it can come back to haunt you.

I decided to write this book to put together a collection of experiences and affairs about my sex life.

Why?

To show how big his ego is.

That’s a good question. My wife asked me that, too.

“Who do you think you are, and what makes you such an expert?” she asked. I wasn’t too happy about her comments. I hear enough negative crap when I’m out with my mates, I don’t need to hear it from my wife; but this is how I explained it to her.

Firstly, I’m sick of hearing guys complain about their partners not wanting sex, or them not knowing what they’d like, or even how to go about finding out. I’ve always had a good relationship with women, and my wife and I are very happy.

A good relationship with women?

Well, if you like to be ogled at, drooled over because you’re wearing a short skirt and exposing cleavage, then I suppose you could call it a good relationship, but no women I know would agree with that statement.

I say, ask them. And if they’re too shy, then read this book together. You’ll learn how great it is to add some spice to your life. Or, if you want to experiment but are too shy to voice your desires, then read this book. Talk about it, talk about what I’ve written, what my wife and I have done, and how we’ve gone about it.

Relax, flick through the pages and try one of them or something similar, experiment with different positions and scenarios. Nothing is taboo if you both consent, if it’s agreed upon between the two of you. If you enjoy it, great; if not, then run through something else, but at least have a go.

Well, this part is true. Nothing is taboo if it’s between the two of you, if it makes you both happy, and you feel comfortable. I can see that some of my nagging must have finally pierced his brain.

Oh, but there is one episode I’ve written -- and believe me, it did happen the way I tell it -- that’s a warning for you all that sometimes a fantasy should stay in your head and not be acted upon, unless you can cope with whatever the outcome might be.

We have, well -- I’m still working on it, still working on building up the relationship which I almost destroyed. I’m not advocating it, I’m just telling you what really happened and how I felt about it afterwards.

And you’ll hear how I felt about it, too, so read on.
