When Danny asks Ian what he wants for Christmas, Ian says he wants a white Christmas. Always wanting to please him, Danny arranges for them and their friends and family to spend the holidays in a private lodge in the mountains of Idaho. While the temperature outside is frigidly cold, inside the lodge things are heating up with new liaisons and old romances.

The trip takes an uneasy turn when things begin to mysteriously disappear. Although they are supposed to be the only guests at the lodge, is it possible they aren’t alone? What new secrets will be exposed when they search for the missing items? Will the discoveries they make along the way change their lives forever?

A little later they were all bundled up and out in the snow having fun making snow people. Each team kept spying on the other teams trying to see what their snowperson looked like in order to outdo them. When Danny saw that Rita and Bjorn’s snow woman had arms that looked like the handle from a rake or broom, he said, “Hey, that’s not fair. You went down into that shed over there and got that stick.”

“What do you mean it’s not fair? We never set any rules that said you couldn’t use other things to make your snow person look better. Besides, we got this from the kitchen. We didn’t go down to that shed.”

“Then who did? You can clearly see the footprints they left in the snow,” Danny observed.

“We didn’t. We don’t even know what’s in that shed,” Jared said.

“Mom, did you and Spencer go in there to get extra materials?” Ian asked.

“No, but that doesn’t mean we won’t. You should really stop worrying about what we’re doing and focus on your own snowman. He’s looking a little scrawny,” Tillie observed.

“Then it must have been dad and Grady who went down there,” Danny said.

“It wasn’t us. Do you really think Grady would have used the broom handle for arms? If we’d gone down there, you can bet Grady would have brought something back to give our snowman a huge penis,” Julio said.

“Hey, you’re supposed to be on my team. Stop letting them know our plans,” Grady protested.

“If none of us went down to that shed, whose footprints are those?” Danny asked.

“Good question, detective. Maybe if I give you a Scooby-snack you can go investigate,” Rita teased.

“I may just do that, Velma,” Danny teased back.

“It was probably just someone from the film crew. They were here until the day before you got here,” Spencer guessed.

“No, it’s snowed quite a bit since they left. Those tracks are pretty fresh,” Jared noted.

“They do seem pretty fresh. Is there a caretaker who stays up here?” Bjorn wondered.

“No. The people who rented the lodge to us said we’d be the only ones here except for the cleaning crew that comes three times a week,” Spencer reported.

“Danny, I think you should go check it out,” Todd suggested.

“Why? So you can all keep working while I go there, that way you’ll have an advantage in the competition?” Danny asked.

“No, because you’re a cop and are trained to deal with situations like this,” Todd replied.

“Situations like this? I don’t think you need to be trained to go look in a shed,” Danny said.

“There could be someone in there. You’d know how to defend yourself if they started to attack,” Todd replied.

“Your boyfriend is also trained in self-defense techniques. In fact, he’s probably had more training than I have,” Danny said.

“You really are acting just like Scooby Doo, afraid to go investigate,” Rita teased.

“So nobody gets an unfair advantage, everyone stop working on your snow people, and I’ll go check it out,” Danny said.

“I’ll come with you, just in case there is someone there and they try to attack you,” Jared offered.
