Copper hales from Atlanta, Georgia. She finds great joy in the simple things in life: walking through a park and watching the way people interact with others, meeting a new friend, or simply watching the sun dip down behind the horizon. Copper likes to get lost in the worlds she creates. Making things people only imagine in their minds come to life on the pages of her stories. Vampires, shifters, evil villains, and deep, soulful love are what make her write what she does. Taking things that have been used for centuries and putting her own spin on them makes writing a joy and often helps her through hard times.
Q: Biggest influence that steered you towards writing?
A: Because of the fact that it helps so much with dealing with things that I’ve gone through. I’m most often able to write what I want to say better than I can say it.
Q: Any unusual habits that revolve around writing?
A: I have to be alone because the BF has a ‘Copper’s writing’ radar. I also watch movies that I’ve seen over and over again. I will replay the movie until I finish what I’m working on. I’m pretty sure my Blu-ray player whimpers every time I walk toward it.
Q: Cat or Dog?
A: Total dog person and not just because I’m allergic to cats.
Q: Favorite season? Why?
A: Winter! I live in Georgia where it gets 95+ and so humid it’s hard to breathe. Of course winter is my fav!
Q: Favorite places to write?
A: At home. I have a certain routine: wake up, see the BF off to work, drink some cappuccino, feed the dog, set up whichever movie is the muse for the piece I’m working on, settle in, and write until my fingers ache and my brain hurts. I have to be alone when I write because I distract easily and that drives me nuts.
Q: How did you get started writing?
A: Writing has always been my way of escaping. I’ve been through a lot in my life and when I have days when it hurts, I write until everything in my head is out. I’ve always been able to write what I think better than to actually say it out loud.
