Della Webb loves traveling, writing and photography. In addition to writing ManLove for Siren, she also writes under the name of Ashley Shay.
Q: What advice do you have for new authors?
A: I would tell them to write. That sounds obvious, doesn't it? But too many authors (both new and seasoned) talk about writing instead of actually doing it. They join writer communities, they blog—in fact, they write on everything but their novels. It's good to network, but nothing will bring success faster than having a strong backlist of books.
Q: Why do you write under two names?
A: I think readers like to know what they're getting when they buy a book. Della writes ManLove, and Ashley writes LoveXtreme and light BDSM stories. I keep the genres separate so my readers know what to expect when they buy my books.
Q: What's the most fun part of being a writer?
A: Traveling and meeting new people. And I'd have to say doing research too. Sometimes, if the subject really interests me, I get lost in the research and have to remind myself to get back to the book.
Q: What do you see in your writing future?
A: I have a lot of exciting projects coming up soon. I'm also working on a ManLove shape shifter series along with a few other projects that are still in the planning stages.
