I love to read and can devour a book in a day if it captures my attention. Anyone who truly enjoys reading has been there. I work in the legal field during the day. I am also a wife, a mother, and a writer. To say my life is very full is an understatement, but I would not change a thing because I am blessed. It is funny, but I can honestly say I am never bored when I am sitting at the computer engrossed in the world I am creating for others to enjoy. I don't get much sleep, but I figure I can sleep when I am dead. Thank god for coffee and energy drinks. Writing is my passion. I think everyone should follow their dreams and live life to the fullest. This is my dream.
I love, love, love romance novels and I believe in the fairytale. Okay, I said it. I am a sappy romantic at heart. And now I am addicted to putting my crazy romantic thoughts on paper to share with others. There is nothing better than a juicy romance novel filled with sizzling passion, a hunky, powerful male, and a happy ending. I enjoy being swept away by it.
Story ideas fill my head daily and I find I have to keep a notebook with me at all times to write my ideas on paper. It is a passion I will always aspire to continue to do from this point forward. Happy reading, everyone.
Q: When did you write your first novel?
A: I started writing my first novel, Guardians of the Mist, about two years ago.
Q: What inspired you to write a novel?
A: The simplest answer is I love to daydream, and I wanted to share them with others.
Q: What is your writing day like?
A: I write whenever I am not working or taking care of family. I write every single day. Usually, I get in about two hours in the morning and three to four hours at night. On the weekends, I commit a lot more time. Coffee is my best friend.
Q: Is there anything you won't write?
A: I write what I feel. I do not put a box around it in my mind. If it appeals to me and I think there is a good story there, and it flows out of me, then I write it.
Q: Do you ever use real life experiences when you write?
A: I supposed I do without consciously thinking about it. But it is not something I intentionally plan. My characters come to life in my head when I write. I am only observing it from inside their world, not mine.
Q: What is your best advice to an aspiring author?
A: Follow your dreams and don't listen to those who are not there to support you. If you get a rejection do not take it personal and quit. Keep going.
