Jennifer has always been an avid reader, but it wasn't until she became a stay-at-home mom did she start to read romance. Her passion of reading romance turned into another passion she had as a child—writing. One late night of writing about sexy heroes and strong-willed heroines turned into two nights, until seven months later she had written her first novel.
She lives in a small, North Carolina town with her supportive husband (whose dream is to be on the cover of one of her books), a beautiful daughter, and two dogs who can’t seem to get along. If she's not writing you can find her reading, hanging out with her family, or cheering on the New York Yankees.

Q: Have you always wanted to be a writer?
A: I don’t know if I’ve always wanted to be a writer, but I do remember it being my first love. I also wanted to be a meteorologist (why I don’t know. I was terrified of storms.), talk show host (loved Ricki Lake), and a teacher. I came back to writing as a full time mom and it’s been my escape. Now, I can’t imagine doing anything else.
Q: What are some of your favorite childhood books?
A: There are lots, but I think my absolute favorite growing up was R.L. Stine’s Fear Street series. I still have every book. I’m saving them for my daughter.
Q: Where do you get ideas for your books from?
A: Oh gosh…everywhere. I’ve noticed recently that my mind wonders a lot when I’m in the car rider line at my daughter’s school. A firefighter came out of the school, looking so handsome and it seemed he might be flirting with one of the teachers…ohh, just got another idea!
Q: If you could go on any romantic getaway with your husband, where would you go?
A: So this might surprise those of you who don’t know me, but I would pick a New York Yankees game any day of the week. Go Yanks!
Q: What does your family and friends think of your writing romance?
A: I couldn’t ask for a more supportive bunch. We recently moved. I think we were here two days before my husband was showing off a poster size copy of my first book cover. No lie, all the neighbors gathered in the center of the street to talk about my books.
