I live in the beautiful hills of La Mesa, California. I have always enjoyed writing, but as a navy wife and working mother of two, there was never enough time. The kids are grown now, the husband is semi-retired, and writing the kind of stories I love to read has become a reality. To me, reading a well written romance is the equivalent of popping my favorite chocolate into my mouth. Writing one is to savor each bite. Satisfaction without the calories. It totally works for me!
Q: What do you hope readers get from your stories?
A: Escape. Relaxation. And most of all, enjoyment from a story well told.
Q: What is the hardest thing about writing?
A: The computer! I’m always screwing up and having to call my kids for help.
Q: Who are some of your favorite authors?
A: I am a huge fan of Christine Feehan. I read across all genres but paranormal romance is what I love best. There’s just something about creating romance in the world of the supernatural that speaks to me.
Q: Are your heroes good or bad guys?
A: I love bad ass alpha males with attitude who just hate the fact that they have a soft side. They growl, grunt and fight with everything in them to keep from falling in love, all the while knowing they’re fighting a losing battle.
Q: What is your writing day like?
A: I try to write a few pages every day, but most days I’m not very productive. Then, out of the blue, I’ll sit down to write and everything just clicks into place. I’ve learned that a story can only be told when the characters have something to say. After all, it’s their story, I’m just the messenger.
Q: Do you read a lot of erotic romance?
A: Yep. But there has to be plenty of emotional build-up to go along with the sexual heat. Mix it with some paranormal activity, a bowl of chocolate ice cream and I’m in heaven.
