Q: What is one of your favorite ways to develop your characters?
A: Throughout the day, I think about how my characters would react to situations I'm involved in or ones that I see going on around me. In that way, I get to know how they think, feel, and talk.
Q: What do you like best about erotic romance?
A: As a reader, I've always enjoyed romance and erotica. If two (or more) characters are irresistibly attracted to each other, I want to share their pleasure in some way.
Q: When you're planning a story, what usually comes first, characters or plot?
A: In most cases, the characters come first. I feel like they're telling me their story, so the plot is revealed through them.
Q: What makes a great romance hero?
A: I generally prefer antiheroes or redeemed villains to golden heroes. I like characters who aren't afraid to put themselves at risk and who will do whatever it takes to get a job done, even if it makes them unpopular with other characters.
Q: What is your favorite time to write?
A: Nighttime. It's quiet and I find it easier to think at night.
