“We need to do an investigation of the happenings in this room,” Kate spoke in the only language she thought might actually get through to him. “We need to interview the management, go to the library and do a records search, photograph this place and try to figure out what happened here in the past. There are no coincidences. There’s a reason we’re here, assigned to this particular room, especially since we’ve witnessed these strange goings on.”

“You really turn me on when you talk like that.” Brett leaned in and pushed her back on the bed, kissing her neck, running his tongue around the beads of her necklace and beyond.

Kate didn’t resist him, she couldn’t. The guy was too damn cute for words. If a man could be a brainy, geeky, sexy stud all rolled up in one-that was Brett. He was a hottie for sure, and in some ways, she enjoyed the attention he was now freely lavishing on her. She hoped this wasn’t some kind of strange spell he was under and that it wouldn’t last past their little weekend together.

“Roll me over,” Kate said, and Brett obeyed, laying on his back. “Look at me.”

He ran his hands up her waist, under her shirt she insisted on sleeping in. “I love it when you tell me what to do, baby.”
