As much as I loved this idea of Stan, the alpha wolf, saving young, scarred, Bentley from a pack that was using him and stealing his scales..... I wasn't able to really connect with both characters. There was a tremendous amount of sympathy and protectiveness towards Bentley, but Stan left me a little ho-hum.
Oh well, you can't have it all with every book!
