Very disappointed this was not a full book more of a footnote to the storyline. The characters came together way too easy. With the way life was going for both especially Warner trust would have been a little longer to obtain. This story read as a task to finish to complete the set. If the author continues with this series I hope the story has more meat to it.

The storyline for the series is very good and a different look on Vampires and their traits. I gave the book 3 stars because of the use of the phrase "The Man" in every sentence. It is overkill and removes me from the story due to the over usage. This is my first time reading a series by this author. I am enjoying reading how the characters develop and watching the family grow. I would just suggest finding a different way to express action and who the speaker is.

I like the interaction between the three the way the trio had issues,some clueless to the problems, but willing to work on them once pointed out.Love and connections sometimes take work,however it is worth it. Old is new again and new is great. I will continue to read the series.
