What a wonderful re-telling of Cinderella this is. The characters are all perfect for their roles....a suitably villainous "stepmother", a swoonworthy Prince, the most delicious Fairy Godfather ever, and Caresse is a beautiful Cinders. The plot is involved, and keeps you reading, there are twists and turns, there is humour in the form of snappy one liners, and some laugh out loud moments on the dance floor. A tour de force!

Oh my! This is a wonderful re-telling of Beauty and The Beast, with an added twist! Heather Rainier's words breathe magic into this old tale, and you can picture not only the world she has built but also the characters...and, yes, I have new book boyfriends! I loved every little bit of it!

Oh my! Age play is something I've never understood...until now... This is a sweet, beautiful story, and yes, I can say that, even though it involves themes of BDSM. The characters are so well written I'm longing for a Jonas of my own (even at my advanced age!)..the steps he took to reassure Rissa that he meant no harm and to overcome the pain and feelings of worthlessness that were her legacy from her previous "Dom" (I use the term loosely as he wasn't a Dom but an abuser) were swoon worthy. This is so well written that I can see the attraction of having a "Daddy"...wouldn't we all like someone to protect us from the world and give hugs freely..without thinking any the less of us? Doris O'Connor has done it again! Made me want one of her heroes in real life!

Although this story is centred around a BDSM club this story is about so much more than the well written BDSM scenes. It is about betrayal, learning to trust again, loving someone to the extent that you'd make their fantasies come true (in spite of the pain this may cause you) and how family really can mess you up. I loved it!

Book 1 in the Five Widows series. I was attracted to this book because of the storyline and the fact that the heroine, Sasha, is an older woman. I found the relationship between Sasha and Jack (20 years her junior) believable. It wasn't rose tinted, they had obstacles and problems to overcome, including Sasha's fixation on the age difference. So, I enjoyed the storyline, why only 3*? It took me a while to get into the book as the story didn't flow as it should....the language used was stilted, especially in the dialogue scenes. With some judicious editing this could have been overcome. I will read the next book in the series as the premise of the Five Widows is a good one. There is more to come from this author and I look forward to seeing their writing develop.

This is the third book in the Dungeon Masters series and to my mind it's the best one yet. The heroine, Ryia, is a woman I could readily identify with. This made the storyline so much more believable. The heroes, Asher and Elijah, are dominant males but not aggressively so. They are caring and thoughtful but still have an edge of naughtiness and humour. I love my "men" to have a good sense of humour! The setting is well written and brought back memories of my conference/exhibition days - I felt quite claustrophobic during the crowd scenes. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to #4.

Doris O'Connor doesn't disappoint with the second book in her Warrior series. There are hunky aliens,a believable sci-fi world, action scenes that could quite easily translate to TV/film and some hot sex scenes. I'm new to the sci-fi genre in books. To keep me reading it has to be well written and not take itself too seriously. Doris achieves all of this and more. There are strong characters who, like most of us, have flaws that make us relate to them. The problems they face are problems that many of us face every day...well, apart from other alien races wanting to kidnap us and blow us to smithereens that is.. Underneath the sci-fi setting and the incredibly hot sex (can never have too much hot sex) this is a story of a second chance at love and not being afraid to let people into your heart. I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to book three!

Heather Rainier has done it again. I can't believe that this is book 19 in the Divine Creek Ranch series..each book surpasses the last. Heather's writing continues to evolve and mature. She is at her best when describing emotions and, believe me, this is a very emotional book. The tissues appeared before I'd even finished the prologue and a couple of times I had to put the book down and compose myself. The subject matter could have been depressing and mawkish but Heather handled the issues of grief and how/when to move on with a delicacy and understanding that I appreciated ,having been recently widowed. There were still lighthearted moments and humour in the story and love, lots of love. The characters were well rounded and it was great to catch up with our favourites from previous stories. That is the beauty of this series - as it continues the characters feel like friends and this reader (and many others!)would love to find a town/community like Divine. Wishful thinking I know...but at least we can dream. Thank you Heather for creating this world.

A bittersweet and gentle story set in the 1970's. At first I found the writing a little disjointed but as the story progressed the writer seemed to gain in confidence and it flowed beautifully. I remember the 70's and Dorothy has captured the zeitgeist and milieu very well. It was also refreshing to have a heroine who was nearer my own age. A May/December romance is the perfect description - there was little of the cougar about the heroine. I look forward to reading more of this new author's books.

This was the first book by Rayna Stone that I've read but it definitely won't be the last. The story was very well plotted and, although the identity of the stalker soon became known, tension still built up due to their unpredictability. The characters were well rounded and likeable...I really cared what happened to them. The heroine, Kat, in particular was someone with whom I could identify...right down to people thinking that her illness wasn't real (a situation familiar to all of us with an "invisible" illness) The heroes were a wonderful couple who complemented each other and thus brought different things to the relationship...together they were perfect for Kat. The BDSM scenes were very well written and were of a nature that fitted with someone new to the scene. Over and above all else this is a love story...and a beautiful one at that.

Another great book from Doris O'Connor..... The plot was believable and had enough twists to keep me guessing. I cared about the characters and loved the way they developed and changed..as people do in real life. The BDSM scenes were authentic and didn't focus solely on the physical aspect...we were given insight into the emotional aspect too. And the cherry on the top for me? Doris's trademark touch of humour...very tongue in cheek and very dry...but that's makes her books a joy to read... A great addition to the Spectrum Auctions series....I can't wait for book 3!

Marla is back on form! I loved this book.....a strong,topical story line matched with characters that I could easily identify with made this a great read. Sparks flew, there were light-hearted moments,emotional moments and I read the book in one sitting...

Fantastic start to a new series! I loved the main characters - they weren't perfect,they had flaws as we all do. The plot was believable and paced at just the right tempo. Add to that the strong descriptions of the mountains and villages, the shifters and...the steamy scenes....sigh....a near perfect story.

Finally, a heroine that I can totally identify with! The story flowed beautifully and the characters were believable. I loved this book and can't wait to read more about the club and its' Doms.
