Lennox (MMMM) by Joyee Flynn (Published by: Siren-BookStrand, Inc. )
$5.5
Categories: Menage a Trois/Quatre, Paranormal, Alternative (M/M, Gay)

This reviewer's rating: 4 - Good

Lennox is the fourth book of the series and an improvement on the last book, though still not quite to the standard of the first two. Lennox has been through hell, locked away in an attic for years, abused, starved and neglected he is finally rescued - but left scarred both physically and mentally. Hugo, his rescuer and bodyguard finds himself falling for Lennox and decides to become Alpha to a pack in order to keep Lennox, but that is merely the start of things to come. This story is a bit like an extended 'what happens next' from Lennox's point of view. It's about his recovery and finding love more than anything else. It's a little slow in places and I felt it wasn't up to Flynn's usually standards, but certainly improved upon the last book of the series which, unfortunately, proved disappointing. A good read but not the best.

A nice festive story containing a chapter about each mated pair within the Brac Pack and with an amusing twist at the end. Who knew elves were real? The mates certainly didn't, and when things start to go wrong do they blame it on bad luck or on the little man in green tights a few of them have seen hanging around? This highly amused me, had me laughing aloud several times throughout and as always with Lynn Hagens books, left me wanting for more!

Curtis's Dads (MM) by Lynn Hagen (Published by: Siren-BookStrand, Inc. )
$5.5
Categories: Paranormal, Shape-shifter, Alternative (M/M, Gay)

This reviewer's rating: 5 - Outstanding

I've bought every book in the series so far, and although the last few have not been as riveting, this one did a very good job of keeping glued to my kindle. Curtis met Chauncey briefly during a BBQ and both knew they were mates, but with Curtis' fathers breathing down their necks they both felt too intimidated to take it further than a few glances. Chauncey, however, has had enough of that and Curtis too is all for them taking the next step. However things are not simple for the pair, Curtis seems to run hot and cold and Chauncey has no idea why - that is until someone from Curtis' past shows up. I loved the story, characters and the well placed humour. Lynn Hagen is a wonderful writer and I've yet to read one of her books that hasn't made me want for more.

Fur and Flightless (MM) by Joyee Flynn (Published by: Siren-BookStrand, Inc. )

Have to say I loved this book. I've enjoyed all the midnight matings books, some more than others, but this one was somewhat refreshing compared to the others. Perhaps it's the characters or perhaps its the circumstances, whatever it was it made for a great read. Couldn't put this down from start to finish and I read it again the same week. Another excellent addition to the series.

Highly enjoyable, interesting mythos, exciting plot developments, fun characters and the promise of more. Very enjoyable read, and I've no hesitation in looking for the future books in the series.

White Paws and a Dream (MM) by Stormy Glenn (Published by: Siren-BookStrand, Inc. )
$5.5

Stormy Glenn, as a writer, has yet to disappoint me - and this book hasn't changed that. Exciting and leaving you wanting more page by page, it was truly a book I couldn't put down. The characters reach out to the reader what with their individual emotional needs. Misha is somewhat withdrawn and hesitant at times whilst Ifan is thrown completely out of his depth and does his best to do what needs to be done. This was a refreshing twist outside of the usual Midnight Mating story structure and I enjoyed every second of it.

Spells and Bananas (MM) by Joyee Flynn (Published by: Siren-BookStrand, Inc. )
$5.5
Categories: Fantasy, Shape-shifter, Alternative (M/M, Gay)

This reviewer's rating: 5 - Outstanding

Another brilliant addition to an already outstanding series. In this one we have two characters who, unlike almost all the other pairings in the series, actually calmly walk into the mating without much fuss or angst. That, in itself, was a nice start. Add to that the fact that the characters just interact so perfectly with each other, the humour, the depth of emotion and the excitement towards the middle and end of the book - this truly is a winner. If you've not already picked up a book in this series, do it :) You'll be pleasantly surprised.
