When Charley Eaton’s father is unexpectedly killed in an accident, his spirit visits him in a dream and asks Charley to finish the invention he knows will change the world. The young boy works tirelessly to bring his father home for Christmas, and to everyone’s surprise, his new improved mechanical father bears a vibrating gift, which pleases his wife more than he ever could in life.
Fern led the being up the stairs and into her bedroom. She closed the door behind them and laughed. “I don’t know what you could hope to do for me here.”
The being widened his stance and tilted his stiff head toward the floor. “Look.”
A long rod protruded out from between the two wider metal legs. The wide tip formed a curved triangular shape.
Fern raised her eyebrows.
The bolts glowed bright red.
Fern reached out and touched the metallic member and felt a peculiar buzzing emanating from deep within. “Oh my…what is this?”
“Something extra so I may serve you with greater pleasure than in life.”
Fern stood frozen and stared. “I see…”
“May I?” The being stretched his metallic arm toward her, brushing her arm with tubular fingers.
His touch shocked her at first and she tried to pull away.
“Please,” the machine begged. “Close your eyes.”
She followed his command.
“Now stand still and listen to me…feel me…” His hot breath blew up her arms to her neck and into her ear. “Fern, make love to me.”
She tried dismissing the experience, knowing her husband was indeed dead, but the more the being spoke to her, breathed his scent on her, the more she knew her husband must be inside the metal shell.
