Lord Gregory Stockton is a powerful and respected businessman embracing the modern era of the Victorian industrial revolution. He owns a grand and beautiful manor complete with a repertoire of servants and a charming attractive young wife. The only thing he lacks and desires is an heir to the family estate. Lord Gregory knows he can never produce a child, for he is a vampire, and his wife and servants know nothing of his secrets. However, there may be other ways to provide an heir for his estate. Lord Gregory notices the subtle growing romantic attraction between his wife and the handsome young stable hand Marcus Scott resulting in the humans becoming unwitting pawns in a vampire’s game of lust, love and control.
Marcus was still staring at her as he stroked her cheek and hair. His expression was soft, his pale blue eyes so gentle and loving. Without meaning to, he leaned forward and gently kissed her lips. Violet yielded immediately, returning the kiss gently yet hungrily. Marcus pulled back and looked at her, his body leaning across hers, heated and hard. He swallowed unsteadily.
“I am sorry, Violet,” he whispered, “I shouldn’t have done that.”
She shook her head, reached out to him, and pulled him closer.
“Do not worry Marcus,” she murmured, “I trust you. I welcome you. We were always meant to be together.”
She drew him against her, kissing him more passionately, pressing her body against him. He wanted to rip away her dress and underclothes, to have her naked beneath him.
Violet whispered in his ear.
“I am not as innocent as you may think Marcus,” she said, “I do not fear a man’s body. I desire yours so much, please do not deny me.”
His breathing was fast and ragged. He could not deny her. Suddenly he was ripping open her bodice, pulling at her skirts and underclothes, revealing her ample breasts, and kissing her soft skin. She cried out in ecstasy, grabbing his hair, calling his name. He fumbled with his own clothes, and finally he was there, against her, their bodies moving together in delicious rhythms of joy until they climaxed together, hot and passionate.
He collapsed beside her on the bed, both of them gasping for air and laughing shakily at their daring and crude behaviour. Violet lay in his arms, warm and satisfied. Surely this must mean he was still interested in her. He had been so passionate, so involved. She wouldn’t put pressure on him just yet, but she knew the implications of their coupling, and had to be sure that he would support her if anything happened. Marcus was a noble man; everyone in the village knew that. His parents had raised him very well, and taught him to be honest and moral in his actions. Violet was certain that he must really love her, and he just needed some time to settle in his career before he proposed to her. She allowed her mind to wander. Perhaps once they were married they could have their own rooms in the Stockton household. She could continue to work for her father, unless Lord Stockton had a job for her. And then they could have their children and life would be perfect.
Marcus was also deep in thought as he held Violet’s soft, supple body against his. He was thinking about Lady Sarah; he just couldn’t help himself. She was so beautiful and so delicate. He couldn’t help but feel that she needed help of some kind, although he didn’t know what. She seemed happy enough with her husband, and of course Lord Stockton was always very courteous and caring towards her in front of the servants. But he was a mysterious man, and Marcus had a strange sense of dread mixed in with excitement for his new job. He couldn’t help but feel that he was walking into a trap, and that Lord Stockton had other plans for him. Of course this was ridiculous. Why would such a rich and important man waste time playing games with a servant? Marcus was simply trying to create adventure where there was none; he knew that. He should just accept his good fortune and appreciate it for what it was.
