Beauty in nature, first love, race cars and local Miami color are just some of the subjects covered in this unique collection of poems.
From Windows (c) Malcolm Lively
An Open Mind
A road winds lazily
Up a hollow.
Waiting at the end, a house.
A house wood and stucco
A carport blood and bone.
Who lies there and what did he do?
Contortionist with a gun
Mime-speaks through a hole.
Memory leaks sap the strength
(Cell warranties expire, too.)
The mind on a concrete carport
Thinks little of the fuss
A piece of mind on the awning pole
Left behind played the marksman
Now unmarked is food for flies
Dancing to a Mozart Requiem.
