STORY EXCERPT

Gracelyn

“Grace! Are you here?” shouts a uniquely deep voice.

I release a slow, deep breath, and wish my uninvited visitor to disappear.

“Gracie! Open up!” The reverberant voice yells louder now.

“Fucking hell,” I mutter to myself.

I pull open the heavy front door, and stare into the sky-blue eyes that haunt my dreams. My nose is met with a fresh and intoxicating scent that could only belong to one intimidatingly tall, muscular, and handsomely devilish man.

“Asher Hart. What are you doing here?” I ask in a cold tone and raise an eyebrow as my heart beats like an out-of-tune drum against my chest.

Asher smiles his infamous panty-dropping smile, and I swing the door closed on his stupidly perfect face.

An enormous shoe halts my action.

“Whoa. You just shut the door on your friends now?” Asher asks, and his deep hypnotic tone shoots awareness between my legs.

I shake off his effects and clench my jaw.

“We’re not friends, Hart, and I don't have time for your bullshit. Not today, not ever,” I say as I turn my back and stomp into the house.

Asher follows behind with heavy footsteps that clunk along the hardwood floors.

“We’ve always been friends, Grace,” he calls after me.

“Nope. We have never been friends, Asher. Not real friends,” I say over my shoulder.

“I brought you flowers. Wildflowers, your favorite,” Asher says, and my eyes close briefly before snapping open.

“Cute, are they going to shoot water in my face or food coloring? Wouldn’t be the first time you and my sister pulled that prank on me. The difference now, Asher, is I’m no longer that naive girl.” I face him with folded arms. “I’m busy. Why are you here, because time is precious, and you are wasting too much of mine already?” I ask with a tilted head.

“I picked the flowers up on my way here. There’s a little stand down the road, and no…the flowers have not been tampered with. Grace, I haven’t been home in almost five years. I thought you’d be at least kinda happy to see me.” He shrugs his shoulders.

“Nope, not even kinda,” I say with a mocking laugh and shake my head.

“Evan told me you bought this creepy old house. You always loved this place, didn’t you? I remember when you snuck in here during high school and were almost arrested. Man, Ryan was beyond pissed, but you, little Gracie, were insistent that this old house would be yours one day.” Asher meanders through the house and ignores my comment. “It has good bones,” he tells me in his booming voice from down the long hallway.

“Hart, I have things to do, quit bothering me already,” I tell him with my hands on my hips.

Asher walks in my direction and stands, towering over me. My breath hitches at his closeness, and his scent evokes a hunger better left to starvation.

“I haven’t even begun to bother you yet, baby. Maybe we can get together for dinner and catch up. How about it, Sunshine?” Asher asks as he moves a lock of hair out of my face.

His fingertips graze my cheek, and my eyes fall closed as my skin tingles beneath his touch. Asher steps closer and his hard cock presses against my hip.

“Asher…” I whisper between us.

“Didn’t you miss me, Sunshine? Haven’t you missed my lips on yours…on both sets of lips?” Asher moves close enough to my parted lips for me to feel the warmth of his minty breath.

I take a deep breath and slide my eyes open. Asher’s half-mast eyes are glued to his fingers that trail along my jawline to the column of my throat. My skin burns from his touch, and I say a silent prayer for strength against this devil of a man.

“I missed you…so much,” Asher admits in a gravelly tone that sends rebellious butterflies fluttering around inside my belly.

He softly brushes his lips across mine, and moisture pools in my panties. Asher releases a throaty growl that snaps me back to reality.

I swallow hard, before pushing him back and stepping away.

I rub my arms and stomp my foot against the hardwood floor as I count backward from ten.

“You must be mistaking me for someone else, my sister perhaps,” I say, raising an eyebrow. “You two have always been thick as thieves, always looking for new and disturbing ways to torment me,” I add with an eye roll. “Besides, I don’t have time to catch up, Ash. Thanks for stopping by, though.” I point in the direction of the front door.

ADULT EXCERPT

Asher

“Asher…” Grace moans my name as her hands explore my chest muscles.

My cock leaks inside my jeans as she rocks back and forth.

Gracie arches her back as I take a stiff nipple in my mouth and swirl my tongue around it. She moans as my teeth nip at the hard peak, and an urgent need consumes me. I slip my hand inside her sorry excuse for shorts, and I glide my finger through her wet folds. My cock aches to be inside her sweet pussy as Gracie gasps and mumbles my name.

“Fuck, baby… you’re so wet…so hot,” I tell her as I kiss her neck. “Ride my finger, Sunshine.” I drive my finger deep inside her dripping cunt.

Grace moans my name as she moves up and down on my finger, and it brushes against her G-spot. A powerful surge of desire hits me like an ocean wave, making my head spin.

“Fuck, that’s it, baby, take what you need,” I urge between panting breaths as my cock throbs, before sucking her other hard nipple into my mouth. “Come for me, Sunshine. Come on my hand, let me feel you,” I breathe out against her breast.

Gracie’s eyes fly open. She pushes my chest hard, and scrambles off my lap. Grace quickly throws her shirt over her head, trapping her long blonde hair inside.

“No…no…no… I don’t need this. I can’t do this again…not with you. Never with you,” Grace spits out between rapid breaths.

“Ouch.” My right hand goes to my heart and my left adjusts my raging hard-on.

Gracie shakes her head, before looking to the ceiling. “I get it. You’re attracted to me, but you’re also attracted to every person on the planet with a pair of tits. Specifically, my sister. You’re a player, Asher, always have been, and I don’t want to be on your roster.” She blinks back tears.

I follow Gracie’s movements as she stands and walks outside with the empty pizza box.

“Yeah…I’m attracted to you, Sunshine. I’ve always been beyond attracted to you. Just thinking about you makes my cock rock hard, but what I feel for you is much more than physical,” I say in her ear as I walk up behind her. “The past few years have been hell without you.”

Gracie throws the pizza box to the ground and spins on her heels with balled fists.

“Stop, Asher! Whatever you’re trying to pull here, just stop. Is this another one of your and Maisey’s sick pranks you’re trying to pull on me? Just leave me alone.” She stomps down the porch steps.

“Gracie…wait,” I call after her, and she pauses at her car door.

“I…shit…I don’t know how to do this,” I admit and look to the sky before going to her.

“You don’t know how to do what exactly, Asher? Seduce someone who isn’t interested?” Gracie folds her arms over her chest.

I grab Gracie by the hips and set her sexy body on the hood of her car as she squeals. I grip her knees and spread her thighs as I fill in the space between them.

“I don’t know how to make you understand that I…that I… fuck. I’ve felt things for you for a long time now, long before our night together.” I gaze into her sparkling blue eyes.

“You’ve felt things for me. Very descriptive, Ash,” Gracie says as she rolls those pretty blue eyes.

“I’m sorry. Fucking hell. I’m not great with words. I’ve never said the L word out loud before you. Cut me a little slack.”

Gracie rests her hands on my chest as my heart pounds against it.

“Love?” Gracie questions in a whisper. “That’s what you think you feel for me? You have been downright vile to me in the past, and you expect me to believe that?”
