When eclipse-chaser Azora goes to see a partial eclipse with her friends, she catches the attention of film star and BDSM enthusiast Lorcan and wins a kiss from him. Two months later Lorcan contacts her and asks to meet up, and Azora wonders—what can he want from someone like her?

Azora and Lorcan soon find the heat between them igniting, but Lorcan’s co-stars make one thing clear—Lorcan likes to date “civilians”, discarding them within a few weeks. Azora decides to enjoy the ride—her friends’ animal shelter will benefit from the publicity, and why shouldn’t she have some fun while still seeking the one thing she’s never seen, a total eclipse?

But soon Azora knows the end date is in sight—and yet she no longer is sure she wants it to end. Can Lorcan be truly happy with a civilian, or will Azora see totality alone?

Their look lingered, and Azora felt a flush rising on her body, her nerves beginning to tingle. It had been a long time since any man had made her feel … anything.

And she had to admit, Lorcan was an attractive man. She could see flecks of gold in his green eyes, a hint of stubble along his jawline, and that dragon tattoo that seemed to beg for her to follow it down his firm chest.

But he was Lorcan Moriarty, for crying out loud. He was a star. She was nobody.

“I didn’t get your name.” Lorcan broke into her thoughts.

“I promise not to tell you I’ve loved every film you’ve been in, if that helps.”

Lorcan laughed. “Now that would be a first. Did you even know I was filming here?”

“I had heard. But I didn’t come here for you, don’t worry.”

“So why did you come here?” Lorcan took a step forward, and Azora held his gaze. “What’s a 999 call operator doing in Spain at this time of year?”

An ambulance siren could be heard in the distance, and Azora turned her head to see where it was coming from, only to feel a hand—Lorcan’s hand—on her chin. As she looked back at him, Lorcan tilted her chin upwards and kissed her.

Heat flooded through her, every inch of her skin tingling. It had been a long time since anyone had kissed her, since she had even wanted to be kissed. Her body seemed to be awakening, yearning to be touched…

And then she felt Lorcan’s hand slide along the nape of her neck and give a tug to her hair, a sudden surprising jolt, before their lips parted and she opened her eyes to meet his.
