As the alpha, Eric cannot let anything dire happen to anyone, so with rumors of a dark presence near the area, he sends one of his betas to check out the situation. Feeling the strength of the full moon, the werewolf inside of him is aching to get out. His pack has a strict rule that no young werewolf be allowed to roam alone, especially on the night of the full moon, and he knows the young ones in the pack will be struggling tonight.
Eric belonged to a family of werewolves that were considered royalty in the paranormal world, and because of that, his son was royalty as well, the rightful heir to being the new alpha of the pack. But Eric’s son left the pack many years ago, and while Roderick secretly kept tabs on him, he hadn’t dared contact him directly. Who knew what might happen if a powerful father and son confronted each other when the hatred between them hadn’t lessened yet.
Roderick smiled to himself. He was Eric’s beta. He looked at Eric sleeping peacefully, his chest rising and lowering with each breath.
“Are you going to keep checking me out like that?” Eric asked. His eyes were still closed and a smile was on his face.
“I thought you were asleep,” answered Roderick.
Eric didn’t open his eyes as he grabbed Roderick’s arm, gently pulling him closer. Eric elongated his teeth and gently bit him.
“I love it when you do that,” smiled Roderick as he closed his eyes and let himself go to the sensations of Eric biting his neck and shoulder.
Roderick knew what his alpha wanted and was pleased to oblige. The two of them looked into each other’s eyes, and Roderick gave a little nod. He prided himself in being the one Eric had chosen as the first beta, and he was willing to do anything to give his alpha the pleasure he needed. Eric closed his eyes in anticipation of the amazing experience he was about to have.
Any other night the two of them would have taken it slow, but the power of the full moon was making them more passionate.

It had been two months since Eli met Stanley. He had been sent to the small county to work on a murder case, one thing led to another, and Eli had found himself being protected from a crazed woman by Stanley. That was the night he discovered that Stanley was a werewolf, and surprisingly, it didn’t scare him off. He felt a connection with Stanley, and the two of them ended up living together.
There wasn’t much detail in the report that had been sent to him. All he could ascertain was that the ‘occurrences’ seemed to be moving. People reported scary howls and dark figures at night with glowing red eyes. Eli wouldn’t have given it much thought, but living with a werewolf boyfriend had opened his eyes when it came to the supernatural world. There was a good chance that something paranormal was making its way to the county.
