Belinda falls from Santa’s sleigh forty-five kilometres from her destination. Will she find her new owner for whom she is a Christmas present.
“Oh I see,” Belinda replied. “I know Eleanor has an uncle and aunty in Port Macquarie. Maybe I could find them, or maybe you might know them.”
“I think I might, at that,” the man said. “Some people only a short distance from here have mentioned a niece in Kempsey by the name of Eleanor. You might do well to ask them. Just walk down this street and turn left. It’s the green house on the next corner.”
Belinda thanked the man for his help, waved goodbye to him, and set off to find Eleanor’s uncle.
